Tribute to a Trailblazer
After more than a decade at the helm of Kimbrough Law, William H. (Kim) Kimbrough, Jr. is retiring. Under the leadership of attorney Hailey Brock, Kimbrough Law will continue serving clients throughout north Georgia.
Let’s take a moment to put this decision into context. When Kim Kimbrough decided to shift his focus to elder law more than a decade ago, there were few elder law attorneys in north Georgia. None were offering elder law, estate planning, and care coordination services under the same roof.
Kim changed that. He envisioned a law firm that would do more than just help people figure out how to pay for long-term care using Medicaid and VA benefits. Kim dreamed of creating a law firm that would help people respond to every challenge created by long life, chronic illness, and disability, including the care-related issues that no elder law firms were addressing at the time.
In just a few short years, Kim brought his vision to life. He assembled a multi-disciplinary team of legal professionals, care coordinators, and others who walk alongside families through the long-term care journey. More than anything, Kim wanted to offer comfort to older adults and their family caregivers during what is often a difficult and isolating time. He succeeded.
We will be forever grateful to Kim for his willingness to go where no one had gone before. His vision will live on as Kimbrough Law continues to serve families in Athens, Gainesville, and the surrounding areas.
Thank you, Kim. We love you.
