Meet Robin Lacrimosa

Robin Lacrimosa has joined Kimbrough Law as a Life Care Coordinator, Kimbrough Law founder W.H. “Kim” Kimbrough, Jr. announced today. Robin will be based in the firm’s Athens office.

“We are delighted to welcome Robin,” said Mr. Kimbrough, whose elder law and estate planning firm provides a wide range of legal, financial, and personal support to older adults and their family caregivers. “Her experience in the long-term care industry coupled with her educational background and her passion for working with older adults will be a tremendous asset to the Kimbrough Law team.”

Robin has been working in the senior care field since the early 1990s when she accepted a position as an activity assistant in a memory care unit after graduating from college. Since then, she has led organizations charged with administering federal grants that fund services for older adults, worked as a patient affairs coordinator for a local hospital, and served as the director of adult daycare centers. She is a Dealing with Dementia Trainer, a Certified Eden Associate, and graduate of Leading Age Leadership Academy. Robin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Central Florida, a Master’s in Education in Adult Education from the University of Georgia, and a Certification at Master's Level in Gerontology from the University of Georgia.

As Life Care Coordinator, Robin walks alongside families during the long-term care journey, assessing needs, developing action plans, evaluating options, and assisting with decision making. “The needs of older adults in our society are often overlooked,” she said. “My role includes making sure that my clients are well cared for and that their families have the right education, support, and guidance along the way so that their loved ones can get the best possible care.”

Robin appreciates Kimbrough Law’s holistic approach to elder law. “I have seen such a huge need for this,” she added. “When an older person’s health fails, their family usually doesn’t know what to do or where to turn. When they go to a traditional elder law attorney for help figuring out what to do, they can only get help with the legal documents or accessing public benefits, which is just a small part of the problem. Elder law without care is an incomplete solution. People can come to Kimbrough Law and get access to everything they need to manage an older adult’s long-term care journey.”
