Kimbrough Law Opens Virtual Online Office
Older adults anywhere in Georgia can now get help with VA benefits and elder law, thanks to the launch of Kimbrough Law’s Virtual Online Office.
“Opening a Virtual Online Office was a logical next step for us,” said Kimbrough, who launched the firm’s flagship brick-and-mortar location in Athens in 2012 and opened a second location in Gainesville in 2016. “In the last year, people from other parts of Georgia have been asking us to help them with veterans benefit claims and other elder law matters. We’re now able to do so.”
To meet in Kimbrough Law’s Virtual Online Office, families need nothing more than a WIFI connection, and a smart phone, computer or digital device with a microphone or a camera. “If you’re comfortable talking to your kids or grandkids over Skype or FaceTime, participating in a virtual online meeting with Kimbrough Law will be easy,” Kimbrough noted.
Meeting by videoconferencing is especially convenient in situations when family decision-makers are scattered across the state or country. “It’s common for a virtual meeting to include an older adult and caregivers here in Georgia, and relatives in other states or countries,” Kimbrough explained. “If everyone has a camera, you can see all the participants live. And if you’re camera-shy, you can participate with audio only.”
The Virtual Online Office marks the third location for Kimbrough Law, which has developed a reputation as North Georgia’s go-to firm for people looking to qualify elderly loved ones for VA benefits. Today, Kimbrough Law’s mission is much broader. “We draw from a powerful array of legal tools and care-related services to help our clients avoid the financial, legal, and personal catastrophes that can happen when a loved one ages or when a family member suffers an unexpected illness or disability,” said Kimbrough, whose own struggle in the aftermath of an unexpected stroke is a powerful cautionary tale. “It has been an honor and a privilege to help families in the Athens and Gainesville areas plan for the many unknowns in life. We are very excited about helping people in every part of Georgia.”
